Callum Wright has joined Anthesis in November 2018 as a Junior Infor Consultant.
Whilst he arrives with some ERP experience, Callum is, in his own words still “learning the ropes” so we are delighted to give him the opportunity to develop and grow under the guidance of our highly experienced consultancy team. Callum will be mentored and trained by some of the most knowledgeable Infor consultants around, taking any necessary qualifications, enhancing his career path and confidence. Implementation is his real passion, as you can see below.
Whilst Anthesis are proud of our highly experienced team of consultants, we also recognise that we want to invest in new people, the next generation of consultants coming through the ranks.
Chares Noden, Director, comments “Young blood like Callum is the future for Anthesis, and give us, and our customers, longevity and security with our forward planning. This is the start of our apprenticeship scheme, with more people to follow, where the next generation learn from our experienced team”.
Let’s get to know Callum a little better – inside and outside of work.
Callum is 23 and graduated in Chemistry at the University of Birmingham in 2016. At this point we was heavily involved in Triathlons and Surfing, and supplemented his University funds by working as a life guard.
It was after graduating that his career moved towards IT and ERP.
His first “proper” job was as an online services lead for a furniture business – building websites, HTML adverts and all things online.
Following that he worked at an IT (EDI) company called TrueCommerce, as a service desk consultant – providing support to clients and handling connections between clients and their end users.
It was at this stage that Callum realised he wanted to go down the implementation route. Earlier this year, he became an Implementation Consultant and was managing 5 projects at any one time, often 6 figure contracts. Much of this was heavily supply chain and ERP focused – orders, invoices, shipments and so forth.
A geographic relocation to the North West and rave reviews meant that Anthesis made Callum an offer of employment, and that brings us up to date. In Callum’s words “I’ve always connected to ERP systems in previous roles but I have never done the actual configuration and that is what really interests me, so now I’m a Junior M3 Consultant at Anthesis, eager to learn a whole lot more.”
Outside of work, Callum is still heavily involved in the surfing word and surfs/competes around the UK and Europe when possible. He also works on his 1981 VW campervan in his spare time – what other vehicle for a surfer?!
Anthesis look forward to working with Callum and introducing him to our clients.
